Team 304 is proud to celebrate one of our own—Daniel Farin, a former standout guard who just signed his first professional contract with Lappeenrannan NMKY (also known as Lappeenranta Namika) of Finland’s Division 1A league for the 2025–2026 season!
Daniel’s journey from the courts of Wheeling, West Virginia to the professional ranks of European basketball is a story of grit, growth, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
Originally from Finland, Daniel made the bold decision to transfer to the U.S. for high school, spending his junior and senior years at The Linsly School in West Virginia. While in the States, Daniel suited up for Team 304 from 2022 to 2024, making a major impact in our AAU program and on the Prep Hoops Circuit.
During his time with Team 304, Daniel was known for his high character, coachability, and fierce competitiveness. A blue-collar, high-IQ guard, he consistently made the right reads, brought defensive toughness, and could flat-out shoot the rock from all three levels. His basketball maturity and leadership stood out, both on and off the floor.
Off the court, Daniel was equally impressive. With a 4.0 GPA and a strong academic mindset, he embodied what Team 304 is all about: developing well-rounded student-athletes who lead by example.
After graduating in 2024, Daniel continued to sharpen his game overseas, playing in the European Development League in Belgium. His international experience, paired with his American high school and AAU background, caught the attention of coaches in Europe.
Now, Daniel is returning to his roots, signing with Lappeenranta Namika, a club with a rich history in Finnish basketball. Namika has won multiple national championships and cups, and plays out of the Lappeenranta Sports Hall, with a strong following in Finland’s top-tier basketball scene.
From Finland to West Virginia and back, Daniel Farin’s basketball journey is only just beginning—and we couldn’t be prouder. He is a true reflection of the Team 304 ethos: tough, smart, hard-working, and built for the next level.
Keep shining, Daniel. Your Team 304 family will be cheering you on every step of the way.
